Vuvuzelas have been kicked out of European competitions after UEFA said that the controversial plastic trumpets drowned out supporters and detracted from the emotion of the game.

New grade standards OK'd for participation in activities
Valley View School District 365U will require all incoming high school freshmen to maintain a 2.0 grade point average if they wish to be eligible for participation in any extracurricular sports, clubs or activities that require an activity fee or participation in competitions.

Uefa bans vuvuzelas from competitions
Soccer:Fans hoping to bring vuvuzelas to the Aviva Stadium for the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2012 qualifier with Andorra next Tuesday will have them confiscated after Uefa issued a blanket ban on the plastic trumpets this morning.
